Press release Silver Medal to Pago de Cirsus

International Wine Challenge awards Silver Medal to
Pago de Cirsus Chardonnay Barrica, 2012

The highly anticipated IWC 2014 Trophy and Great Value results are now live, and Bodega Pago de Cirsus is pleased to announce its satisfaction in the awards received, specially the Silver Medal Award for its wine Chardonnay Barrica, 2012.

The International Wine Challenge (IWC) owned by William Reed Business Media is now in its 31st year. The IWC is accepted as the world's finest and most meticulously judged wine competition which assesses every wine blind and judges each for its faithfulness to style, region and vintage. Throughout the rigorous judging processes, each medal-winning wine is tasted on three separate occasions by at least 10 different judges and awards include medals (Trophy, Gold, Silver, Bronze) and Commended and Great Value awards.

Other crops from the prestigious winery from Navarre, Spain that won the “Commended” recognition are Pago de Cirsus Chardonnay, 2013, Pago de Cirsus Vendimia Seleccionada, 2011, Pago de Cirsus Cuvée Especial, 2010 and Pago de Cirsus Opus 11, 2009, this one last wine already a winner at Concours Mondal de Bruxelles.

The International Wine Challenge is committed to rigorous and fair tasting and has subsequently earned its reputation as the most well-respected wine competition in the world. By hosting two separate tasting events across the year, wines are given the best chance to perform well, wherever they’re from.

The Champion Trophy, Winemakers of the Year and Merchants of the Year award winners will be revealed at this year's lavish IWC Awards Dinner on Wednesday 16 July 2014.

Bodega Pago de Cirsus proves once again the excellence of its harvest to produce the finest wines for Navarre, and the world.
